It seems that [REDACTED] over at The Idea of Progress has declared a blog war on The IHoB. In his post, he alleges that The IHoB "hires illegal aliens to staff the bloggrills and the blog registers."

Blog War. I ask you...how is this progress?

I'm here to assure you that these allegations are false. Following the Great Naturalization Raid of '06, The IHoB complied with INS orders and released several employees who could not show proper documentation proving U.S. citizenship.

On that note, I would like to add that the sole member of that previous IHoB crew who wasn't made to return to his country - head IHoB Fact Checker Diego Cezanne - recently passed his citizenship test! Yay Diego!

So, I will steadfastly refuse The Idea of Progress' declaration of war. Does this make me a cheese eating surrender monkey like the French? Hardly. The IHoB will remain vigilant. We will not stand for baseless attacks. We will defend this little patch of bandwidth we call home.

But as for willingly entering into a Theater of Conflict with The Idea of Progress? I put my foot down and passionately swear no. Because, frankly, I'm far too lazy. And The Idea of Progress updated 87 times today alone.

But I like the kid's gumption and bravado. His audacious spirit. His unabashed vigor.

I like the cut of his jib.

He is the Che Guevara of the Blogger set.

Issuing a fatwa on The IHoB? A waste of time. I have 3 readers.

Hopefully, The IHoB can maintain our color-coded threat level of "Beige."

The Ideas' new buddy - the always prolific and universally beloved Grant Miller - seems to have an opening for web nemesis, however.
